Today I'm posting an extreme close-up of my recipient area.  You're seeing the very front of my hairline in this photo. Notice some of the "doubles", which some of you may not know, are two hairs from one graft.

Since my recent surgery my daily "views" on this blog have really increased!  Thanks for your interest and check back often. 

17 days after my 2nd FUE Hair Transplant

Today, I'm posting two pictures that show how quickly your head heals and how the hair has grown.  I haven't experienced shock-out but I probably will, because I did last time.  Some of the hair in this picture was transplanted two years ago and the rest 17 days ago.  It's hard for me to distinguish which are the new grafts.  The next picture I post in a couple days will be an extreme close-up of the recipient area.  Stay tuned for that!

15 days after my 2nd FUE Hair Transplant

I only took three Ibuprofen twice over the weekend!  Didn't really need them but I wanted to make sure I fell asleep and was not bothered at all by the back of my head.  The healing is going very well.  I sent Dr. Vories some pictures of my donor area and he said they looked great!  I'm attaching pictures today of the left side of my donor area so you can see how well it looks after two weeks and how much hair is growing out. The angle isn't great but I think you can see how well it's healing.

2 Weeks after my 2nd FUE Hair Transplant

Today I'm posting two pictures.  The first picture is the top of my head the first day after Dr. Vories moved 2,000 grafts.  As of yesterday, 13 days after surgery, I no longer need to take any pain medications.  I've only been taking Ibuprofen the past few days.  The donor area is still tender so I usually take 600mg of Ibuprofen mid-morning and again about 10 pm so I will be comfortable going to sleep.

Update on my 2nd Fue Hair Transplant

It's day 10 after my second hair transplant.  I took two Hydrocodones about 10pm to ensure a good nights sleep.  I haven't had any Ibuprofen this morning and my head is feeling better.  I plan to play golf at 1pm so I will most likely take three Ibuprofen prior to walking 18 holes of golf just to be safe.

Update from my 2nd FUE Hair Transplant!

I'm posting some pictures today of the sides and back of my head just after surgery.  Dr. Vories is sending me more pictures that he took last Saturday. I will post some of those in the next day or two. I'm taking my prescription Hydrocodone as directed each day to stay ahead of the pain.  I usually access whether I'm having discomfort or pain every hour when I spray my head with the saline solution provided to me at the clinic..  I typically take one Hydrocodone during the day and take two about 10pm each night so I'll have a good nights rest.  I usually wake up with a little discomfort "stinging" in the back of my head which I attribute to the back of my head laying on the pillow and moving around a bit during my sleep. I've been averaging about four or five Hydrocodones per day.

Update from my 2nd FUE Hair Transplant!

The morning after surgery, I woke up with a little dried blood on my head.  Apparently, I had reached up and rubbed my head in my sleep, despite taking a sleeping pill to keep me calm.  I had Dr. Vories take a look and he said he had seen much worse and that I had only disturbed less than 10 grafts, which is fraction of the 2,000 he transplanted.

I arrived back home last Sunday and my face began to show a little sign of swelling (see picture).  Sunday night I woke myself up when I bumped my head with my hand in my sleep and I felt some pain, but no damage was done.  I will post more pictures tomorrow, so....check back in!

1 Day after my 2nd FUE Hair Transplant

As most of you know who follow my blog on a regular basis..., I had 5,125 grafts transplanted back in September of 2012 (see archives on this blog site).  This past weekend I flew from Louisville KY to Charlotte N.C. to visit with Dr. Vories.  We decided to do some "touch-up" work to my hairline and to concentrate on a couple areas in the front.  After preparing and shaving my head, Dr. Vories commented on my donor area.  Remember, we extracted over 5,000 grafts two years ago!  He said there was virtually no sign of surgery from the past!!  He was astounded at how well my donor area recovered.  As a result he felt very comfortable removing 2,000 more grafts and moving them toward the front.
