2 Years & 10 Weeks since My FUE Hair Transplant

I've had to postpone my surgery once again because of work related responsibilities through the Christmas season. I train teachers to become principals for Asbury University and I have several events now scheduled in December including a banquet that was scheduled the day after I was to have surgery.  I asked Dr. Vories if he could reschedule me.  Because of his popularity and booked schedule, I'm hoping for a January date to have about 2,000 grafts completed.  I recently found this photo of me on his website www.carolinahairsurgery.com.

  1. It's too bad you had to postpone your surgery. The good thing is you're still looking forward to your operation. Add the fact that you were able to easily find a replacement date. You must be looking forward to the results of this upcoming operation. Anyway, good luck!

  2. 30year old male, at week 16 now. Im super active, high nutrition& supplements. So my recovery is faster than avrg. Had 4200 hairs 3500 from back of head 700 from chest(never recommend chest to anyone! Also I was told that around 70% where single hairs, I didn't have the best donor area) By week 4, I was impressed with my results. But I had center patch fall out..then more and more...then re-sprouted. But certain areas are showing no signs of regrowth after the initial loss at week 3-4. It kept shedding in phases ..the past 3 weeks. I've googled a bunch of results at this stage and the people had phenomenal results.EVen you who had NO hair i nthe area of transplant , the result is just unbelievable. I ha a decent amount of hair that was thinning so I expected better. Maybe it need more time. What I'm asking is...were there any patches you were worried wont regrow lets say 4-5 months in etc..that all of the sudden started sprouting month 6-8. Do I still have hope. I really prefer not to have another Fue anytime in the near future as the amount of ingrown hair and scalp and chest irritation is torture.

  3. also " Remember, we extracted over 5,000 grafts two years ago! He said there was virtually no sign of surgery from the past!! He was astounded at how well my donor area recovered. As a result he felt very comfortable removing 2,000 more grafts and moving them toward the front." Does that mean your donor area recovered..I thought from everything i read, you only have a limited amount once its extracted from the back it doesn't grow back? I had an average donor area(more toward the low side) SO more extraction is possibly unlikely. Unless I'm misinformed and some of it does grow back?
